What is your potential?

Many of us when we were growing up, had a conversation with our parents, teacher or even clergy member about what our potential was.  Many of them would venture to guess that based on some talent or personality trait, that we could have limitless potential.  For those of us who seemed a little aloof, we were told that we needed to buckle down as we had so much potential.  It was not very often that you heard that someone possessed no potential.  So it is safe to say at an early age, we knew something was expected of us even if we didn’t quite understand how we were going to get this potential or what it even really meant.  As time went on, for those who had people constantly reminding us that there is a potential to reach, we started to put the pieces together and started on our track to be a person full of potential and thus success would follow for us.

…anytime you are involved in work that in connected to human and environmental care, you tend to stay more grounded to the idea that we must invest in each other to be fruitful and nurture fruit.

I would venture a guess, that the overwhelming majority of us were lead to believe that potential was some type of talent that we possessed that we must nurture in preparation of sharing with the world when the time is right.  So, it was more or less about giving to the world something we possess and in return it would afford us a good lifestyle.  Now, how many of us were told that our potential MUST include to be ultimately successful with God and the universe, helping others reach their potential so they can turn around and make a good lifestyle as well? If you were born after the 60’s, I would guess not to many of us.  As we moved from an agricultural society to a industrial society, the idea and notion of one helping the other has diminished.  In my opinion, anytime you are involved in work that in connected to human and environmental care, you tend to stay more grounded to the idea that we must invest in each other to be fruitful and nurture fruit.

For the last several years, I am wholly convinced that to live the most emotionally and financially successful life, we must actively work to help others unlock their potential.   Helping others make a living and fulfill their desires is key to our own happiness.  I know many of us will not agree, as we have been taught to promote our self and our interests first and foremost if we are going to get ahead.  We have been told those who get ahead and are tops are the ones who will be the most successful financially, an if we have wealth it is a foregone conclusion we shall have happiness.  If you are still believing this, I have more examples than time to show you how this is not the case.  However, this post is not about that so I digress!  The wealthiest people who enjoy their job and do it full of joy and excitement, never worry about where their money is coming from.  They know and trust wherever it does come from, there is an abundance of it.  Even more so, they never see themselves as lacking.  They are thankful at every level of life and thus feel blessed at every level.  What they experience at the different levels, is a desire to give more, hence them wanting to achieve more.  Staying in service and being of service is the drive that brings the wealth because this is in direct alignment with God as his desire for us.

Finding your purpose, will inevitably reveal a deep well of infinite potentiality because we will now see that we are the true potential.

How do we get there you say?  Know your purpose.  Spend time with yourself learning what it is that you are meant to do.  Once you unlock this, you will no longer see yourself as a person who lacks.  Finding your purpose, will inevitably reveal a deep well of infinite potentiality, because we will now see that we are the true potential.  Think about that, WE are the potential.  We are the change. We are the possibility.  It begins with us and ends with us.  Once you understand that knowledge you will now see that you are always enough.  Built in to our desire to give, are the elements that will help us fulfill it.  The universe conspires to help us.  Know this, whatever the service God has deemed that you give, there is always a need for it.  However we need others to help us fulfill our goals and the best way to do that is to help them with theirs.  We need to work with each other not against each other.  Do not buy into the myth that there is not enough for us all.  We all don’t want the same thing and please know this, money is not the barometer of wealth in God’s universe.  Coveting it will never make you truly and ultimately happy. Ten to one the enlightened mind will tell you that what we seek and what life ultimately desires, is not to lead us to a pile of money, but to help us unlock and reveal our high potential quotient for true happiness!
